"i just dress according to how i feel. sometimes i feel like looking cutesy so i'll wear a fun top with a skirt. other times i'm feeling more preppy, so i'll wear a collared shirt and skinny jeans. i enjoy trying out a wide variety of "styles." it makes dressing in the morning a lot more fun!"

"i am influenced by cowboys, turn-of-the-century gents, ethnic clothing, japanese design simplicity and mingei ideals. i prefer a natural fiber (linen, cotton, wool, silk) with a coarse weave and earth tones. i believe in the mingei idea that simple, functional, handmade things (including clothing) when done well, transcend beauty and ugliness.

it's probably best said by coco chanel, "etiquette is for those without manners, in the same way that fashion is for those without style." find your style and wear clothes that fit your body. that will never go out of fashion."

"i would say my style is pretty simple. i don't tend to accessorize very much but i like to use one color/pattern/statement piece each outfit. i also love dressing up so my school/work clothes are never super casual. those are the only real rules i have i guess. i don't think i have a set style."

they've both been in provo for awhile now.

while hanging out with tyler we met this girl, caitlin. tyler and i agreed that we loved her lavender pants. the mustard shirt provided a great contrast. tyler sported a slick pair of salmon shorts. we snapped a picture of them for our first impromptu "style stalk."

"i love mixing: thrifted items with investment pieces, feminine and masculine, and pairing different prints together. i also like to put pieces together that some wouldn't expect. spice it up. my mantra is to wear everything with confidence. even if it is different from what everyone else wears; if you feel good, you will look good!"

"i like clean cut stuff. i like finding good deals and bargains. lately i have been trying to channel my Dad circa '85, hence the mustache. i used to get someone's GQ and i'd look through it for current trends. they canceled it though, so now i browse the internets. i try to incorporate different trends, but i've had a lot of my clothes for years that i try to mix with the newer stuff."

"i have a lot of thrifted stuff. i try to integrate it with new, clean, well designed clothes. sometimes i like to wear more outrageous things . . . i like to push the boundaries of what i can pull off. the vintage helps. i love the unique colors. it's quirky and playful, shows that i'm not always so serious.

there's this blog advanced style. a bunch of old ladies who wear crazy clothes. i want to be them in sixty years."
